2. Data We Collect

2a. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, we collect anonymised usage data via Google Analytics 4 (GA4): pages visited, time on page, country (derived from IP, not stored), browser/OS, and Core Web Vitals. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information through analytics.

2b. Advertising (Google AdSense)

With your consent, Google AdSense may use cookies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com.

2c. Contact Form

When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is retained for up to 90 days before deletion.

2d. Local Storage

We store user preferences (dark mode, precision, language, pinned converters, cookie consent) in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the EU/EEA, our legal bases are:

• Contact form submissions: deleted within 90 days of the enquiry being resolved.
• localStorage preferences: stored until you clear your browser data.

• Access — request a copy of your personal data.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

8. Children's Privacy

If you access this service from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US (Google's servers). Such transfers are covered by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
